Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level)

The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination is an annual examination conducted in Singapore. The examinations are jointly set, mainly by the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) and the Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE). The qualification is recognised internationally and is accepted for entry in many tertiary institutions around the world, including the junior colleges and polytechnics in Singapore.

Victoria Eduhub has specially designed an effective Preparatory Course to help students pass the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination. The main objective of this programme is to prepare both local and foreign students to sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination. Students who have passed and obtained good grades will be able to gain entry into polytechnics as well as other colleges and universities overseas. The aim is to ensure that students eventually gain their university degrees that will aid their entry into the working world.

The subjects that are taught follow the Ministry of Education (Singapore)’s syllabuses closely.

At the end of the course, students will sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination conducted by the Singapore Examination and Assessment Board.

Full Time Students

24 months, 5 weekdays, 6 hours daily
The course commences in mid – November every year.

Course Admission Requirements

Age Required Academic:
14 years old and above

Qualifications Required
Have equivalent of Secondary Two (S2) English Language in home country or passed Secondary Two (S2) English Language exam at Victoria Eduhub

Mode of Assessment

Internal Assessment
Monthly Written Assessments will be conducted for English.
Quarterly Written Assessments will be conducted for other subjects.

External Assessment
Students can register for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination

GCE O Level Chinese Language Examination will be conducted between June and July;

GCE O Level English Oral Examination will be conducted in August; and

Examinations for all other GCE O Level subjects will be held between October and November.

Course Completion

Students may take the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination

Requirement for Course Completion

Students must achieve at least 90% attendance and not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason.

Type of Qualification

Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Certificate awarded by the Ministry of Education, Singapore and University of Cambridge International Examinations, after successful completion of GCE 'O' Level Examinations.

1. Application Fee

A one-time application fee is non-refundable.

2. Course Fees

The Committee for Private Education (CPE) has regulatory provisions and requirements to protect course fees that are payable by students who are enrolled in a private education institution (PEI).
Victoria EDUHUB subscribes to these regulatory provisions and requirements in its collection of fees from full-time students.

The course fee is refundable and will be subjected to Victoria Eduhub refund policy.
